The Emotion Code®

The Emotion Code® is a gentle yet powerful healing modality designed to identify and release “trapped emotions” — unresolved emotional energies that may become stored within the body after difficult or emotionally charged experiences.

These trapped energies can quietly influence the way we feel, think, respond, and even how the body functions physically. Over time, they may contribute to feelings of anxiety, emotional heaviness, stress, disconnection, self-sabotage, or difficulty experiencing love, joy, peace, and meaningful connection with others.

Because emotions are energy, they can also affect the body on a physical level, creating imbalance, tension, and discomfort within tissues and organ systems. By releasing these trapped emotional energies, we create more supportive conditions for the body, mind, and spirit to return to greater balance and alignment.

As emotional layers are released, many people begin to feel lighter, calmer, more emotionally resilient, and more connected to themselves and the world around them.

Before beginning a Body Code session, I like to make sure that we are a good energetic and personal fit and that this modality feels right for you. Because this work is unique and very different from conventional approaches, I offer a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation for all new clients.

To begin, please call and leave me a voicemail message, and I will return your call within 24 hours to schedule your consultation. Prior to the consult, I ask that you please review my website and watch the two introductory videos so you have a better understanding of the work and can come prepared with any questions you may have. This helps our conversation flow smoothly and allows us to make the most of our time together.

During the consultation, we will focus on you, your goals, and the areas you would like to work on. Since you will have already reviewed my website and watched the introductory videos, this time is meant to answer any remaining questions you may have and help determine whether this work feels like the right fit for you. If we both feel aligned moving forward, we will then schedule your 40-minute distant Body Code session.

One of the most unique aspects of this work is that we are not in direct contact during the actual session. Many people who are new to energy work find this difficult to understand at first, which is completely normal. During the session, I use my body as a proxy through a form of muscle testing to connect with your energetic field and subconscious information. This allows me to identify imbalances, trapped emotions, energetic stressors, and root causes that may be contributing to physical, emotional, or energetic challenges.

You do not need to be on the phone or physically present during the session. Clients are often at work, relaxing at home, or going about their normal day while the session is taking place. After the session is complete, I carefully dictate and organize the findings, along with any recommendations or insights that came through during the work. These notes are then sent to you by email or text message for you to review at your convenience.

If you are new to energy work or unsure whether this modality is right for you, that is completely understandable. Because The Body Code is very different from conventional approaches, many people initially have questions about how the process works and how distant energetic testing is even possible.

I am always happy to answer questions and help you better understand the process before scheduling a session. With over 15 years of experience in the field of energy healing, along with my background in nursing and holistic wellness, my goal is to help clients feel comfortable, informed, and supported every step of the way.

I also highly encourage new clients to review my website and watch the introductory videos prior to scheduling. Sometimes seeing Dr. Bradley Nelson, the creator of The Body Code and Emotion Code, demonstrate the work can help people better visualize and understand the process. For many individuals, this makes the modality feel much less unfamiliar and easier to grasp.

This work is ultimately about helping the body identify and release the energetic imbalances that may be contributing to physical, emotional, or energetic stress. My role is simply to listen to what the body is communicating and help guide that process in a safe, grounded, and supportive way.

At this point, I have already established permission to access your energetic field and subconscious information. During your 40-minute distant Body Code session, I spend time asking the body questions and scanning for the imbalances, trapped emotions, energetic stressors, and patterns the body is ready and willing to release.

Every session is unique because the body prioritizes what it feels is most important in that moment. Sometimes the body simply releases the imbalance energetically, while other times it may ask for additional support to help the shifting process. This may include simple lifestyle suggestions, nutritional support, grounding techniques, emotional awareness, hydration, rest, or other gentle recommendations. Any supportive changes or suggestions that come through during the session will be included in your notes.

Because this is energetic work, experiences during a session can vary greatly from person to person. Some individuals who are very connected to their bodies or sensitive to energy work may notice shifts during or shortly after the session. They may feel emotional releases, warmth, tingling, heaviness lifting, fatigue, calmness, increased awareness, or subtle energetic sensations. Others may feel very little during the actual session and simply go about their normal daily activities. Both experiences are completely normal. The body often continues processing and integrating the work over the following days.

You do not need to be on the phone or actively participating during the session. Many clients are working, relaxing at home, driving, or simply continuing their normal routine while the session is taking place.

After the session is complete, I carefully dictate and organize the findings, insights, and recommendations from the session. Your notes will then be sent to you via email or text message so you can review them at your convenience and track your healing journey over time.

After a Body Code session, your body begins integrating and processing the energetic shifts that were made during the session. Because we are working with emotional, energetic, and sometimes physical imbalances at a root level, it is normal for the body to need time to recalibrate and restore balance.

For the next few days, you may notice periods of fatigue, increased emotions, vivid dreams, temporary aches, or “echoes” of emotions that were released during the session. This does not mean anything is wrong. It is often a sign that the body and nervous system are processing and reorganizing old energetic patterns. Some people feel lighter and energized immediately, while others experience a gentle detox or emotional release before feeling the full benefits.

Please be especially gentle with yourself during this integration period. Rest when your body asks for it, avoid overextending yourself, and allow emotions to move through without judgment. Staying well hydrated is very important, as water supports the body’s natural energetic and detoxification processes. Nourishing foods, grounding activities, fresh air, light movement, and adequate sleep can also help support the healing process.

You may also notice increased awareness, emotional clarity, shifts in relationships or thought patterns, or changes in physical symptoms as your body comes back into alignment. Sometimes healing happens layer by layer, and additional imbalances may surface after the first layer has cleared.

Journaling is highly encouraged after your session. Writing down emotions, physical sensations, dreams, memories, synchronicities, or any shifts you notice can help you track your healing journey and recognize subtle changes over time. Many clients are surprised when they look back and realize how much has shifted in the days and weeks following a session.

Remember that healing is not always linear. Be patient with yourself, trust your body’s wisdom, and allow the process to unfold naturally.

The number of sessions needed varies greatly from person to person because every individual’s body, history, and healing journey are unique. Much depends on the types of energetic imbalances being uncovered, how long they have been present, and how the body responds to the releases and shifts occurring during the sessions.

For some individuals, a few sessions may create significant shifts and relief, especially if the imbalance is connected to a more recent emotional event or isolated stressor. Others who have experienced years of physical stress, chronic illness, emotional trauma, grief, suppressed emotions, or long-standing energetic imbalances may require additional sessions to gradually restore balance layer by layer.

The body often works in priorities and will only reveal what it feels ready to process at that time. Healing is rarely about “fixing everything” in one session. Instead, it is often a gentle unfolding process where the body continues to strengthen, regulate, and rebalance itself over time.

Some clients choose to schedule sessions only as needed, while others prefer ongoing support as part of their emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness journey. My goal is never to create dependency, but rather to support your body in finding greater balance, awareness, and alignment at a pace that feels safe and sustainable for you.

 I will personally follow up with you approximately 3–5 days after your session to see how you are processing and integrating the energetic shifts that occurred during the work. This gives you an opportunity to share any physical, emotional, or energetic changes you may have experienced in the days following your session, as many clients begin noticing subtle or significant shifts during this time.

During the follow-up, we can discuss any questions, emotions, insights, or changes that have surfaced, as well as review how your body is responding overall. Because the body heals in layers and according to its own timing, I will also energetically test to see when your system may be ready to release additional emotions or continue deeper work.

Some clients feel ready fairly quickly, while others benefit from allowing more time for integration between sessions. The goal is always to work with the body’s natural pace and not overwhelm the nervous system or energetic field. Healing is a process, and honoring the body’s timing is an important part of creating lasting balance and alignment.
